Anti-Wrinkle Injection (OnabotulinumtoxinA) is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of severe frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines and neckbands. It can also relax certain muscles to create an eyebrow lift, reduce a gummy smile and stop the downward pull of muscles on the mouth and neck.

What areas could anti-wrinkle injections be treated for?

It is most commonly used for the lines around the eyes (crows feet), between the eyes (frown lines) and across the forehead (worry lines). It can also be used to produce a brow lift by shaping or elevating the position of the brow, or to improve the lines from the corner of the mouth to stop the chin pulling down (marionette or sad lines).

How long does it last?

Expect to see results within 7-14 days, lasting up to 3-4months. The area treated is dependent on the amount of product used, and the metabolism of the individual. Anti-wrinkle Injections can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers to help treat both static and dynamic wrinkles.

Are there any side effects?

Ant wrinkle injections are non-surgical, only involving a small probe to inject a small amount of product into the targeted area. You may encounter a small bruise at the injections site, redness or swelling, however these side effects settle down within the hour. There are no long-term side effects following the treatment.
